In 2004, the Center assumed FSU sponsorship of the Florida Innocence Project, an initiative aimed at ensuring equal justice for those who may have been wrongfully convicted and whose innocence can be ascertained through DNA evidence. The project offers FSU graduate Law and Criminology students an opportunity to work with Florida’s prison population and to engage the justice system on their behalf.
