Lara Teixeira Japiassu

Lara is a third-year student double majoring in Political Science and International Affairs. Within those majors, she is especially interested in Latin American politics, and institutional violence and immigration as research topics. Some of her involvements on campus include serving on the Executive Board of FSU's After They Arrive, conducting research through the Global Scholars and the Research Intensive Bachelor's Certificate Programs, and working for University Housing in the residence halls. After graduation, Lara hopes to attend law school and use her experience at the Center to explore a career in human rights advocacy and immigration law
