Geetanjali Srivastava, Summer 2026 Travel Placement and Intern
Geetanjali Srivastava
Intern
Geetanjali Srivastava is an incoming senior at Florida State University majoring in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences and Sociology, with academic interests centered on human rights, advocacy, and law. As part of her Honors in the Major research, she will examine the lived realities of First Amendment rights among international and domestic students at FSU through an interview-based study focused on free speech, protest participation, and political expression. Her experience as Executive Director of the Asian American Student Union and as an international student herself has shaped her understanding of identity, dissent, and the importance of inclusive dialogue. Through her work with the Center for the Advancement of Human Rights and her ongoing research, Geetanjali hopes to contribute meaningful insights that support accessibility, equity, and freedom of expression on campus and beyond. She hopes to attend law school and pursue a career in international human rights. Outside of her academic and advocacy work, she enjoys cooking, spending time in nature, and visiting Lake Ella.
