Gabriela Hodyl

Gabriela Hodyl is a senior at Florida State University majoring in Business Management with a Certificate in U.S. Intelligence through the College of Emergency Management. Originally from Palm Harbor, Florida, Gabriela's passion for human rights advocacy began as a teenager after learning about the realities of sex trafficking and exploitation. Since then, she has dedicated herself to understanding the issue and pursuing opportunities that strengthen her research, legal, and advocacy skills. She believes that human rights are rooted in the inherent dignity of every person and is inspired by activist Laila Mickelwait's work combating sexual exploitation. Through her internship at CAHR, Gabriela is gaining valuable experience supporting vulnerable communities while deepening her commitment to advocacy. After graduation, she hopes to work as a legal advocate with the National Center on Sexual Exploitation, specializing in sex trafficking litigation.
