Emma Brown
Intern
A junior at Florida State University majoring in Criminology and Middle Eastern Studies with a minor in Psychology, Emma combines her interests in law, language, and global advocacy through her work at the Center for the Advancement of Human Rights. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, she was drawn to CAHR for the opportunity to apply her Spanish and Arabic skills in real-world legal contexts. Her passion for human rights is rooted in a belief that advocacy requires continuous, intentional effort to ensure fairness and equality for all. Inspired by mentors like Professor Terry Coonan, Dr. Adelina Emini, and Dr. Aguilar, Emma hopes to attend law school and become an immigration attorney. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, cooking, baking, and visiting local spots like Pancho’s Mexican Grill.
