John Dain, Summer 2026 Travel Placement

John Dain is a rising senior at Florida State University pursuing a dual degree, earning a BS in Political Science and Economics and a BA in Human Rights and Social Justice and Religion. Originally from Daytona Beach, Florida, he is committed to advocating for marginalized communities through a future career in law. This summer, he will conduct an Honors-in-the-Majors thesis project in partnership with Halifax Urban Ministries, focusing on the experiences of unhoused individuals living with opioid-use disorder and their interactions with the broader community. Driven by both personal experience and a strong background in community service, John is passionate about amplifying the voices of those often overlooked and working toward more equitable systems of care and support.
