Lucia Anguiano

Intern

A sophomore at Florida State University majoring in Political Science and Criminology, with minors in Bias Awareness in Public Safety and Security and Women’s Studies, Lucia Anguiano is committed to building a future in advocacy and immigration law. Originally from Belle Glade, Florida, and a first-generation college student, her passion for human rights is deeply rooted in her experience growing up in an immigrant household, where access to support and advocacy was often limited. She was drawn to the Center for the Advancement of Human Rights to gain hands-on experience and connect with others who share her commitment to helping communities in need. Inspired by her mother’s dedication to assisting others with critical documentation and support, Lucia hopes to become an immigration lawyer.
