Claudia Urday
Intern
A junior at Florida State University majoring in English and Religion with minors in Law & Philosophy and Anthropology, Claudia brings an interdisciplinary approach to human rights advocacy. Originally from Miami, Florida, and the daughter of immigrants, she is deeply motivated by issues of equity and justice. She was drawn to the Center for the Advancement of Human Rights for its work with immigrant and refugee communities and its emphasis on cultural understanding in legal spaces. Inspired by her grandfather, a legal scholar in Colombia, Claudia hopes to become an immigration attorney and advocate for refugees. Outside of her work, she enjoys exploring vintage shops and spending time at San Luis Park.
