Mariana Dos Santos

Intern

A senior at Florida State University majoring in Criminology with a focus on Child Development and U.S. Intelligence, Mariana, a Fort Lauderdale native, brings both personal perspective and passion to her work at the Center for the Advancement of Human Rights. Drawn to the internship for its hands-on impact, she values not only witnessing meaningful change in clients’ lives but actively contributing to it. Her commitment to human rights is deeply personal, shaped by her own immigration journey and the opportunities it created. Inspired by Eduardo Verástegui’s advocacy raising awareness around child exploitation and human trafficking, she hopes to pursue a career in law with a focus on child advocacy. Outside of her academic and professional interests, she enjoys spending time with friends, working out, and visiting local favorites like Cascades Park and Wakulla Springs.
