Intern
Denange Sanchez is a senior at Florida State University, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in International Affairs with a concentration in Sociology. As a first-generation Dominican-American and U.S. Army veteran, her background has shaped her passion for advocating for marginalized communities, particularly immigrant women and families like hers.
Her interests at the intersection of social justice, policy, and public systems are reflected in her research on immigration policy and human rights issues, including Florida’s Senate Bill SB1718 and the classification of transnational criminal organizations. On campus, Denange serves as the Outreach Coordinator for the Dominican Student Association and as a student coach for Florida State University’s competitive boxing team. She aspires to pursue a Master of Public Administration, using her education and leadership experience to amplify underrepresented voices through public policy.
