Human Rights Fellow
Andra’ is a Human Rights Fellow at the Center of Advancement of Human Rights (CAHR) pursuing a double major in Criminology and Human Rights & Social Justice. He was recently appointed by Sheriff Walt McNeil to the Leon County Sheriff’s Citizen Advisory Council and serves as a case manager for the Jack Brewer Foundation's Faith & Fatherhood Initiative, integrating various empowerment programs for fatherless populations in America and abroad. Andra' also recently accepted an internship position with Bryan Stevenson at Equal Justice Initiative in Montgomery, Alabama, and is excited to start this upcoming summer. He has been with CAHR since August 2023, and during Spring 2024, he will be assisting the legal team insofar as adjustment of status and citizenship applications for the center’s clients including those seeking asylum. One of his areas of emphasis includes criminal justice reform. After graduation, Andra’ is contemplating the possibility of attending law school and representing individuals from marginalized communities who seek equal protection under the law.
