Kate is pursuing a dual degree in International Affairs and Philosophy with a minor in French, graduating Spring 2024. She has been an intern at the Center since August 2022 and continues learning and applying the advocacy strategies and practical skills she has learned at the Center in her professional and academic lives. This past summer she interned with Asia Justice and Rights in Jakarta, Indonesia, focusing on research and advocacy strategies for the humanitarian and refugee crises in Myanmar. After graduation, she hopes to apply for master's programs in human rights and be accepted to a prestigious language learning initiative to study Bahasa Indonesia. She looks forward to pursuing a career in human rights, working specifically within the Southeast Asia-Pacific region, and to continuing to promote democracy, inclusion, and human rights through advocacy, research, engagement, and policy.
